About us When I was preparing for my move abroad to Germany, I was overcome with feelings of excitement and uneasiness. Moving to another country on my own was a difficult experience to navigate. Born in the Dominican Republic and having grown up in the United States, I am familiar with the challenges that come with migrating to a new place – especially when adapting to a new language, customs, and cultural traditions. Moving abroad to Germany was already a challenge – having to navigate raising children abroad can be even more difficult. After having my daughter and experiencing first-hand the challenges that come with navigating life abroad as a first-time expat parent – The Eltern Hub was born. I am on a mission to support new expat families moving or living abroad in Germany. The Eltern Hub is here to bridge the gap between international families and access to resources to make the relocation and adaptation process in Germany less overwhelming. The Eltern Hub brings together my academic background in women and gender studies and professional experience in recruitment, sales, and marketing to create valuable services that support international employees, their children, and their families in their relocation journey to Germany and beyond.
